Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Proof, an iPhone and iPad app made by Kode Foundry. Using the app means you accept them.
What Proof is
Proof is a record-keeping tool. It organises documents, photographs, dates and notes that you supply, and produces reports from them.
What Proof is not
Proof is not a law firm, an insurer, a broker or a financial service, and it gives no legal, insurance or financial advice. A report it produces is a presentation of what you gave it. Whether that helps your claim, satisfies a court, or persuades anybody is outside our control. Take professional advice when the stakes call for it.
Where Proof reads a date, an amount or a reference from a document, it shows you what it found and asks you to confirm it. Those readings can be wrong. Check them.
Your account
You need an account to use Proof. Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself: anybody who has them can read your records. Tell us at hello@kodefoundry.com if you think somebody else has access to your account.
You must be at least 13 years old.
Your records belong to you
You keep every right you have in what you put into Proof. We store it so the app can work, and for nothing else. We do not use your records to train anything, and we do not read them.
What you agree not to do
- Store material you have no right to store, or that is unlawful to hold.
- Use Proof to harass, defame or impersonate somebody.
- Attack the service, or try to reach records that are not yours.
- Resell the service, or run it on somebody else's behalf as a bureau.
We may suspend an account that does these things. Where the situation allows, we will tell you first and give you a way to export your records.
Sharing
A share link makes the parts of a case you chose readable by whoever holds the link. You decide who gets it. Revoke it in the app when you want it to stop working.
Availability
Proof works without a network connection, so an outage on our side does not lock you out of your own device. We do not promise uninterrupted sync, and we may change or withdraw features.
Keep your own copies of anything that matters. The export in Settings gives you your original files, and it exists so that you never depend on us to have them.
Payment
Some features may require a paid subscription through the App Store. Apple handles billing, renewals and refunds under their terms. Cancel in your Apple account settings.
Ending it
Delete your account in Settings whenever you like. That removes your records from our systems, including share links, and cannot be undone.
Liability
Proof is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Kode Foundry is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for a claim that failed, or for a deadline that passed. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes appear in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use Proof means you accept the new version.
